President Donald Trump on Wednesday directed the Department of Justice to investigate two senior officials from his first government who became critics.

During his presidential campaign and in his first month of office, Trump threatened to investigate his political enemies, but the president’s memorandum he signed in front of the media at the Oval office seemed to be his first formal direction.

One of Trump’s targets was Miles Taylor, who wrote the New York Times anonymous entitled “I am part of the resistance in Trump’s administration” in 2018 and a book that tells all “A Warning” in 2019

When he signed the memo, Trump said he was sure Taylor was guilty of “betrayal.”

Taylor served as Deputy Chief of Staff for former Secretary of the Security of the country Trump Kirstjen Nielsen.

Another Trump target is Christopher Krebs, who was the security director of the Trump election during his first term of office. Trump Fire Krebs via Twitter In 2020 because Krebs corrected claims and rumors about voter fraud in the 2020 election. The shooting occurred several days after his agency and other federal officials released a statement that said the election was “the safest in American history,” Without evidence no votes were deleted, lost, changed, or “in any way compromised.”

After the January 6 attack on the capitol, Krebs said that Trump had to be punished for inciting a rebellion.

During the confirmation session, Pam Bondi, Attorney General Trump who will direct the investigation of the Department of Justice, was asked by Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar whether he would provide a guarantee that the White House would not play a role in cases that were investigated or carried by the Department of Judiciary.

“Politics will not play a role,” Bondi testified.
