Trump suggested that “in two or three weeks” the world can be “a much safer place.”

“I will tell you that the world is a much safer place at this time, and I think in two or three weeks we can make it a much safer place,” Trump said. “We will handle some of the situations that you have here with some very serious situations. And we see Gaza, and we have to take care of it. Many people are starving. Many people. There are many bad things that happen.”
Ukraine diplomatic sources in Istanbul have told ABC News that “We appreciate President Trump’s original effort to end the war and stop murder. Ukraine itself is a country that wants more peace than others.”
“We will finish it,” Trump said about Ukraine negotiations. “Five thousand young people are killed on average every week, and we will finish it.”
