In the midst of the fall of the Monday Atlantic article which was reported to specify the chat group of signals that discussed US attacks on Houthi in Yemen, JD Vice President who seemed to break up with President Donald Trump also received attention.
Vance made an important statement in the chat, apparently deciding on relations with Trump and questioned whether the President acknowledged that the unilateral US attack on Houthi to keep the international shipping pathway at odds with difficult talks about European countries that paid their parts, according to an account by Jeffrey Goldberg, an Atlantic editor who said that he said that the Atlantic editor inside.
“I am not sure the President is aware of how inconsistent this is with his message in Europe now,” Vance wrote in a chat, according to Goldberg. “There is a further risk that we see the surge in moderate to severe oil prices. I am willing to support the team’s consensus and maintain this concern for myself. But there is a strong argument to delay this a month, doing work work why this is important, seeing where the economy is, etc.”
On the day before the attack, according to the Atlantic report, published on Monday, Vance participated in the chat when he told the group that he was traveling to Michigan for economic events.

“The team, I came out for that day to do an economic event in Michigan. But I think we made a mistake,” Vance wrote in a chat, according to Goldberg. “3 percent of US trade runs through Suez. 40 percent of European trade does it. There is a real risk that the public does not understand this or why it is necessary. The strongest reason to do this, as said by patuses, to send messages.”
In the end, he supported the attack, telling the Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, “If you think we have to do it, let’s go. I just hate to save Europe again,” according to the Goldberg account.
The White House has insisted that communication in group chat is not a war plan and criticizing Atlantic journalists who specify the account.
“All of these stories are other tricks written by Trump haters who are famous for their sensational rounds,” Press Secretary of the White House Karoline Leavitt was posted on X on Wednesday.
William Martin, Director of Communication Vance, said the Vice President and Trump “agreed completely.”
“The first priority of the vice president always ensures that adequate presidential advisers give him direction about the substance of their internal considerations. Vice President Vance firmly supports this administrative foreign policy. The President and Vice President have carried out further conversations on this issue and in a complete agreement,” he said in a statement.
Asked whether Vance and Trump had spoken between Vance time raised their concerns with the group, as reported by Atlantic, and he agreed with those who advocated to continue the strike, a Vance spokesman said Martin’s statement given to ABC News explained that they did it, showing that they had “further conversation on this problem.”

Comments from Vance are very striking, given that he has been on the stairs, at least in public, with Trump, the main defender is almost all the time since being chosen as his partner last July.
There is no situation that illustrates that more than the meeting of Trump and Vance oval offices with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy earlier this month, where the three men experienced a scream in front of the media for the prospect of a ceasefire agreement to end the war in Ukraine. Vance scolded Zelenskyy for not being grateful for the support given by the US to Ukraine.
“Mr. President, with respect, I think it’s not polite for you to come to the oval office and try to submit this show in front of the American media,” Vance told Zelenskyy. “Right now, you go around upholding military service to the frontlines because you have labor problems. You must thank the President for trying to end this conflict.”
During the campaign cycle, where Vance was a policy attack dog for the president and previously said that Trump needed a vice president who would not “stab” behind him, there were only a few times he deviated from Trump on the policy, with the most prominent incidents that occurred in the NBC interview during the President’s campaign when he said he would veto the prohibition of national abortion. A few weeks later, Trump, during his debate with Kamala Harris organized by ABC News, was asked about Vance’s comments about the prohibition of abortion.

“Well, I don’t discuss it with JD, in all justice,” Trump said.
Since then, Vance has been more careful not to deviate in public from the president’s policy position.
Following their victory in November, a source close to Vance told ABC News that the Vice President was assigned to ensure that all Trump administrative priorities move forward and will work on one of Trump’s problems for further.
In November, a source who is familiar with the relationship Vance and Trump said Vance focused on doing whatever was needed to support the elected and administrative president.
