Grand Jury Federal in New York on Thursday returned the accident of four calculations to the alleged killer of CEO Luigi Mijione who accused him of two accusations of stalking, violations of firearms and murder through the use of firearms, accusations that made him meet the requirements for the death penalty if punished.

Mgione was charged with stalking the head of the united health service Brian Thompson outside of Hilton in Midtown Manhattan and then shot him to death on December 4, 2024.

Attorney General Pam Bondi has signaled his intention to pursue the death penalty, who actively tried his lawyer.

Luigi Mijione, the suspect in the killings of United’s Group Executive Chief Brian Thompson, appeared in the Supreme Court of Manhattan on charges of the murder and terrorism of New York State in New York, February 21, 2025.

Thompson was heading to the investor conference when he was shot and killed. Mgione was arrested in Altoona, Pennsylvania, five days later and was initially charged in a federal complaint in connection with the murder.

Earlier this month, Bondi said in a press release that he ordered the death sentence for Mgione to “carry out President Trump’s agenda to stop violent crimes and make America safe again.”

Defenders’ lawyer Karen Friedman Agnifilo argued that in a motion that was proposed last week that Bondi’s statement was issued before Mijione was charged with federal charges, inappropriate and “prejudice the jury process.” He asked the judge to prevent the government from seeking the death penalty, and he demanded that the government submit documents and records relating to the direction of the Attorney General.

“The stakes cannot be higher. The United States government intends to kill Mrgione as a political action,” said the defense.

Manione also faces state accusations in connection with the shooting. He claimed to be innocent.
