Zelenskyy was set for the European Summit in London after Trump Showdown

London – European leaders will gather in London on Sundays to meet with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, following a joined White House meeting that encourages As-Ukraine relations further into the crisis.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will “intensify his efforts in pursuing just and eternal peace in Ukraine” while hosting the Sunday Summit in the British capital, a statement from his office said.

Speaking with BBC News on Sunday morning, Starmer said he had agreed with President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron that Britain and France would work on Ukraine peace plans to be presented – and discussed with – US Prime Minister added that “one or two” other countries could be involved in the preparation of plans “to stop the fight.”

Zelenskyy arrived in England on Saturday, directly from his visit to Washington, DC, where the OVAL office meeting with Trump and Vice President JD Vance went down to the open argument in front of the gathering reporters.

Trump and Vance condemned Zelenskyy, wrongly accused Ukraine of starting a 3 -year -old war with Russia, which began when Moscow troops invaded Ukraine in February 2022. American leaders also expressed frustration of the mineral extraction agreement proposed by the US President and Kyiv.

European leaders quickly unite around the leader of Ukraine and his team, although some emphasized the importance of Kyiv to maintain a good relationship – and repair – that was damaged with the US

“The Prime Minister has repeated his unwavering support for Ukraine and is determined to find a way forward which ended the Russian illegal war and guaranteed Ukraine of eternal peace based on sovereignty and security,” Starmer Office said in a statement.

Starmer spoke with Zelenskyy and Trump on Friday night immediately after the DC visit of the Ukraine leader, which ended with the cancellation of a planned press conference and the Ukraine delegation was asked to leave the White House.

Leaders from Germany, France, Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Turkey, Finland, Sweden, Czech and Romania, as well as the Secretary General of NATO and the President of the European Commission and the European Council, are expected to take part in the Sunday Summit.

The statement of the British leader said the main topics of the discussion would include further military support for Ukraine, increased economic pressure on Russia, the need for “strong” and “eternal” peace agreements that ensured that Ukraine was able to prevent and maintain Russian attacks in the future, plus planning for “strong security guarantees” given by foreign partners.

“In partnerships with our allies, we must intensify our preparation for European security guarantees, in addition to further discussions with the United States,” Starmer said in a statement.

Zelenskyy on Saturday thanked Starmer for the “meaningful and warm” reception in London. The President also confirmed that Ukraine and London signed an agreement that enabled KYIV to access the income generated by Russian financial assets which were frozen in the UK

“I thank the British people and governments for their extraordinary support since the beginning of this war,” Zelenskyy wrote on social media. “We are happy to have such a strategic partner and to share the same vision about what a safe future for all.”

Zelenskyy will also meet with King Charles III on Sunday, a spokesman for the leader of Ukraine confirmed to ABC News.
