NASA astronauts who have remained in space for months -months longer than planned finally returned to earth.

Barry “Butch” Wilmore and Sunita “Suni” Williams did the first astronaut flight from Starliner Boeing capsules to the International Space Station (ISS) in June 2024.

However, what should be a mission that lasted about one week changed to nine months above ISS due to some problems with Starliner.

Problems with spacecraft pushed NASA and Boeing to send starliners back to earth not affected and keep Wilmore and Williams above ISS until early 2025, when they were going home with Spacex Crew-9 Dragon Spacecraft so crew-10 arrived at ISS.

Spacex Crew-9 will finally be canceled in the early days of Tuesday, March 18 and Deorbit in the afternoon, Return to Earth at night.
