The DPR chose on Thursday to criticize Democrats Al Green for his explosion at President Donald Trump’s speech to the congress on Tuesday night.
Efforts led by Republicans passed 224-198 with two members who voted, one of which became green. Ten Democrats chose to criticize green.
Democrat Texas was immediately called to the well to read public resolution by speaker Mike Johnson. Green and other Democrats around him there began to sing the songs of the songs “that we will overcome,” which encourages the Republic to shout “order.”
The screaming match between the Democrat House and the Republican Party broke out. At one point, Democrat Ayanna Pressley shouted, “Shame to you!” Democratic representative Rashida Tlaib also shouted at the Republican party.
In a short performance at Fox News after the vote, Johnson called it “a very sad day for our institution.”
Rep. Andy Ogg, a member of the hardliners of Kaukus House Freedom, posted on X he has compiled a resolution to delete each democrat who demonstrated with Green from their committee.

Green spoke on the floor of the house a few hours after being criticized. He read the resolution hard and offers his own comments.
“Mr. speaker and I am still rising,” Green said, “and I am still rising, released, released by Democrats, Unbought, Unbossed and Unraid.”
Green continued to criticize Trump’s agenda and eager to explain why he and other Democrats sang in the well, calling it “acts of impartment.”
“We can’t allow it [Trump’s] Imposment, the requirements for loyalty, to prevent us from taking the actions needed to protect freedom and justice for everyone, to protect the people of the people, by the people, for the people … we must do what is needed. I believe we must be involved in a positive and true level of impermanence. “
The resolution of criticism was introduced by Rep. And Newhouse, who called Green’s behavior on Tuesday “unacceptable.” Democrats tried and failed on Wednesday night to block the action.
Resolution of criticism is a formal reprimand by the DPR because of violation of the room code of ethics. Voting to condemn a member of the DPR does not have any strength outside the public criticism over the behavior of members and that does not deny the privileges of members.
Arranging DPR members historically rare, but in recent years we have seen members of the two political parties using this as a political tool. Green is a member of the fifth congress who was criticized in this decade.
Some Republicans houses float more punishment for green. House Freedom Caucus said its members planned to try to delete Green from the committee’s assignment next week.
Green is not the only member of parliament who disturbed the President’s speech to the congress. In 2022, representatives of the Republic of Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert repeatedly disrupted President Joe Biden’s speech. Greene did it again during the State of the Union 2024 Biden speech.

On Thursday, Ten Democrats Supported the Censure Resolution: Reps. Ami Bera of California, Ed Case of Hawaii, Jim Costa of California, Laura Gillen of New York, Jim Himes of Connecticut, Chrissy Houlahan of Pennsylvania, Marcy Kaptur of Ohio, Moskowitz of Florida, of New York.
But many Democrats criticize the resolution.
“The voting of criticism was outrageous in my mind,” Dem Democrat Jamie Raskin told ABC News about the sound of Green. “What they have done is that they have really facilitated the meaning of criticism. Pleasing people because of heckling. Of course, now we must start to criticize Marjorie Taylor Greene, he repeatedly denounced President Biden.”

When asked about the 10 Democrats who supported the criticism, Crokett said, “I don’t know their reasons or their rational, but I know I chose the way I did and in the end if my district decided to leave because I chose it like that then be that. But I stood with Al Green.”

Some time before the vote, Johnson told ABC News that he took “unpleasant in making history like this” and hoped that Green would “admit his mistakes.”
“I want us to have the right politeness. I want us to maintain the great tradition of this institution,” said Johnson. “And these things damage it and I’m sorry that happened.”
Green was expelled from a joint session on Tuesday after disturbing the President’s speech and refused to sit despite a warning from Johnson. Green said several times he was not upset with Johnson for removing it or because he watched the voting in criticism.
“He chose to deliberately violate the rules of the house in a way that we thought might not have happened before in history – interrupting the message of the President of the United States, who was an honorable guest,” Johnson explained before the vote.
