The Democratic National Committee-continued his encouragement to host the city hall in the districts controlled by Republican parties announced a series of new city halls that focused on budget bills led by Republicans and displayed high-ranking officials such as Senator Cory Booker, DN.J., ABC News had learned exclusively.
“This People’s City Hall,” which will be held during the April recess two weeks of the congress which began next week, came when the Democrats saw to spread the Republican and the White House and reach voters about economic problems and affordability.
Democrats mostly focus on the budget blueprint said by President Donald Trump will help the priority of his government, including tax deductions and border security investments.
But the bill has been criticized by Democrats as the potential to lead to cutting the main programs that are relied on by Americans, such as health care or food assistance, during the period of economic uncertainty.

“In the red and blue community, sick and tired people with Donald Trump and Elon Musk destroy the economy, threaten health care and social security, and make life worse for the family,” DNC Chairman Ken Martin said in a statement.
“In April, we doubled with the prominent democratic votes joining more city halls in the main districts throughout the country. Republicans still want to pretend to be like their constituents, but we believe that Americans are worthy of their voices.”

The Republican party argues that the budget blueprint is not and will not threaten any benefits or rights, and Trump said his government would not cut or threaten social security allowances. The Republican party also pushed back the claim that they did not host the City Hall, saying that they continued to host direct events or hear from constituents by telephone and virtually. Some members face a fierce pushback from the constituents at their event.
Democratic Party City Hall during the recess is arranged to display high-profile congress figures including Booker, Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy, Rep. Arizona Greg Stanton and REP Florida Maxwell Frost, according to DNC.
Booker received high attention in early April after breaking the Congress record, speaking for more than 24 hours in a marathon speech on the senate floor that protested the national “crisis”, he said President Donald Trump and the main advisor Elon Musk had created.

“The Democratic Party is in the weakest position when it is related to the party. That is the most powerful when it is related to people, when it is bigger and wider than a narrow political analysis,” Booker told ABC News “this week” George Stephanopoulos on Sunday.
The Democrat City Hall will be held during the recess on April 13 in Arizona District, on April 22 in the 8th District Pennsylvania, on April 24 in the 8th District of Colorado and the 9th District of North Carolina, and on April 25 in the Missouri District.
Two of the districts -the electricity -8 of Pennsylvania, represented by Rep. Robert Bresnahan, and 8th Colorado, represented by Rep. Gabe Evans, reversed by the Republican Party in the 2024 election.
The 9th District of North Carolina represented by Rep. Richard Hudson, Chair of the National Republic Campaign Committee (NRCC). In March, Hudson pushed House Republicans to do more virtual events than city halls directly, although NRCC said this was a suggestion to help members reach more constituents.
The new batch of the Democrat City Hall is also a joint effort between DNC and two affiliates, the Democratic Congress Campaign Committee (DCCC) and the Association of the State Democratic Committee (ASDC).

“While the vulnerable Republican Party continues to be afraid because they voted to raise costs, Medicaid’s intestine, and threaten the livelihoods of working families, we will make sure their voters don’t have to wait until the election day to ask for their accountability,” said DCCC chairman, Suzan Delbene, D-Wash.
According to DNC, the three arms of the party have hosted 71 city halls in 35 states and regions in the last three weeks, with tens of thousands of participants as a whole.
