The B2 visa – which is usually a tourism visa – ended in February 2023, said Mclaughlin.

Soliman was given a work permit after his B2 visa ended, a senior official told ABC News. The work permit ended on March 28, so he has been in the country illegally since then, said the official.

Soliman is suspected of using “emergency fire spoil” and throwing a burner into a pro-Israeli demonstrators in pedestrian malls on Sunday afternoon, according to the FBI. He allegedly shouted “Palestine free” during the attack, said the FBI.
