London – Russian drones and missiles are bombarding cities in Ukraine on Saturday night to Sunday morning despite the ongoing prison exchange that are determined to be the largest of the 3-year-old war.

The Ukraine Air Force said in a post for telegram that Russia launched a total of 367 “air strike vehicles” – including nine Iskander ballistic missiles, 56 cruising missiles, four guided air missiles and 298 attack drones – targeted throughout the country.

The Air Force said 45 cruising missiles and 266 drones were shot down or neutralized during the attack.

“Most of the Ukraine region is influenced by enemy attacks,” wrote the Air Force, with a strike reported in 22 locations and cruising missiles that fell or strike drones reported in 15 locations.

The Ukraine Ministry of Home Affairs said in a statement that at least 12 people were killed – among them three children from the same family – and more than 60 were injured. More than 80 residential buildings were damaged and 27 fires were recorded, he added.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on social media on Sunday morning, “Today, the savior has worked in more than 30 cities and villages of Ukraine after a large strike of Russia.”

“This is a deliberate attack in ordinary cities,” continued Zelenskyy. “Housing buildings are commonly destroyed and damaged. In Kyiv, the university’s department of history is beaten. There is also a company strike. Tragically, people are killed, including children.”

The Operational Command of the Armed Forces in Poland – a NATO country bordering Ukraine in the West – said in a post Sunday morning X that his warrior jet was randomized during Russian attacks. “The intensive activity of long distance flights from the Russian federation has been observed, related to strikes carried out on objects located, among others, in the western region of Ukraine,” the statement said.

The latest attack marks the fourth night in a row in which Russia launched more than 100 missiles and drones to Ukraine, per number of the Ukraine Air Force. Although long distance attacks have occurred almost every night in recent months, Russian bombings have recently been famous for their scale.

Ukraine also continued his own drone attack on Russia, with the Ministry of Defense in Moscow reported a decrease in 110 Ukraine drones overnight to Sunday.

The association came despite the beginning of the multi-day prisoners’ process on Friday. About 1,000 troops from both sides are expected to be exchanged, with the process it will continue until Sunday, said Zelenskyy.

The exchange of prisoners will, after completion, has become the biggest since the Moscow invasion began in February 2022. Russia and Ukraine had exchanged prisoners of war throughout the conflict, even though they failed to approve of the eternal ceasefire.

US peace talks that were mediated since the return of President Donald Trump in January also failed to reach an agreement, with Kyiv and Moscow accused each other to damage negotiations.

Ukraine demands a ceasefire 30 days full, where the time of peace talks can take place. Zelenskyy has repeatedly put aside the region handing over to Moscow in a peaceful agreement.

Trump’s threat to new sanctions against Russia – which has not been realized regardless of the appeal of Ukraine and Europe for more American pressure on President Vladimir Putin – does not seem to encourage Kremlin to move away from the maximum objective of war, which basically equates the capitulation of Ukraine.

These demands include the anexation of the four Ukraine regions, which are mostly added to the Crimea retention, which Russia seized in 2014-Demilitarization of Kyiv, a permanent block on Ukraine’s accession to NATO and “denazification” of the country-a vague demand based on Russian fake representations from Ukrinakan Asshienia.

Ukrainian leaders have quoted a large Russian attack as proof that Moscow is not original in the application for peace.

“Every Russian terrorist strike is a sufficient reason for new sanctions against Russia,” Zelenskyy said on Sunday. “Russia drags out of this war and continues to kill every day. The world may occur on weekends, but the war continues, regardless of weekends and working days. This cannot be ignored. American silence, the silence of others around the world only encourages Putin.”

“Without a truly strong pressure on Russian leadership, this brutality cannot be stopped,” he added. “Sanctions will certainly help. The current important determination – the determination of the United States, European countries, and all people around the world who seek peace. The world knows all the weaknesses of the Russian economy.”

“War can be stopped, but only through the power of pressure needed on Russia,” said Zelenskyy. “Putin must be forced to think not about launching missiles, but about ending the war.”

Andriy Yermak – Head of Zelenskyy’s office – wrote on a telegram on Sunday morning, “Not a ceasefire, there is a murder.”

“Without pressure, no one will change and Russia and its allies will only build power for such murder in Western countries,” Yermak continued. “Moscow will fight as long as he has the ability to produce weapons.”
