Ukraine’s intelligence and open-source data show that Russian President Vladimir Putin does not “plan to end the war,” said Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his Monday evening speech.
“At present there is no indication that they are serious about considering peace or diplomacy,” he added. “On the contrary, there is a lot of evidence that they are preparing for new offensive operations.”

The address came after last night’s exchange from a long distance cross -boundary drone attack between Russia and Ukraine.
The Ukraine Air Force said Russia launched a total of 364 “air strike vehicles” – nine cruising missiles and 355 attack drones – in the latest bombings.
All missiles and 288 drones were shot down or neutralized on flights, said Ukraine Air Force. The impact was reported in five regions and debris in 10 regions, he added.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense, said his troops downed 128 Ukraine drones more than 12 regions from Sunday night to Monday morning.
Cross -border strikes have become an important feature of the Russian War against Ukraine, now more than three years with a few signs of a ceasefire or peace agreement that will soon occur. Last months have seen bombings growing in size.
On Saturday night to Sunday, for example, Russia launched what Ukraine officials were described as the largest air strikes in war. The attack included 367 drones and missiles and killed at least 18 people, said officials.
The weekend attack pushed Trump to reprimand Putin and Zelenskyy on his social media platform on Monday.
“I am not happy with what Putin is doing,” he wrote. “He killed many people, and I didn’t know what happened to Putin. I had known him for a long time. Always hanging out with him, but he sent a rocket to cities and killed people, and I didn’t like it at all.”
“Likewise, President Zelenskyy did not do his country’s assistance by speaking like he did,” he continued.
On Monday, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia “was very grateful to America and personally to President Trump for his assistance in regulating and launching this negotiation process. This is a very important achievement.”
However, Zelenskyy and his officials have quoted a large Russian attack as proof that Moscow is not authentic in his public appeal for peace.
“Russia relies on a prolonged war,” Zelenskyy said, when discussing new intelligence which he said was analyzed in a meeting with his staff on Monday. “And on their side, this is a bright neglect for all people around the world who seek peace and try to make diplomacy successful.”
