London – Russian President Vladimir Putin “stole” again in the War Sunday in Ukraine with a faint response to the 30 -day ceasefire proposed by Washington and Kyiv last week, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Sunday.

Both Ukraine and Russia tried to avoid mistakes because they extend Moscow’s 3 -year war and damaged the ceasefire and peace talks led by the US. American negotiators have now met with representatives from Kyiv and Moscow in their efforts to formulate an agreement.

After the US-Ukraine meeting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, last week, both parties proposed a ceasefire 30 days full as a stepping stone for a broader peace agreement. Putin said he “for” prospective freezing in the battle, despite establishing additional conditions for its implementation and suggested a pause will benefit Ukraine.

Zelenskyy has since released several statements that frame Putin deliberately hampered the ceasefire talks.

“After talks in Jeddah and American proposals for a ceasefire on the front lines, Russia stole almost a week – a week of war that Russia only wanted,” wrote the President of Ukraine on social media on Sunday.

“We will do everything to intensify diplomacy,” he added. “We will do everything to make diplomacy effective.”

Andriy Yermak, Head of President Zelenskyy’s office, wrote in Telegram, “Russia continues to attack, Ukraine responded to the attack and will respond until Putin stopped the war.”

Zelenskyy and his main official try to present Ukraine as ready for peace, seem to hope to neutralize repeated criticism – and sometimes misleading – from President Donald Trump’s administration that Kyiv, rather than Moscow, is the main obstacle in an agreement.

Trump said Sunday he hoped to talk to Putin by telephone on Tuesday.

“Lots of jobs” in potential agreements are made during the weekend, said Trump. “We will see if we have something to be announced. Maybe on Tuesday.” He said that his government wanted to “see if we could end the war.”

“Maybe we can. Maybe we can’t, but I think we have a very good opportunity,” the President said, speaking on the Air Force air ship when he returned to Washington, DC, on Sunday night.

The battle continued in important points throughout the future at the maneuver party for profits in further ceasefire talks.

Special attention has been given to the Western Russian region of the Kourses, where Ukraine troops seized a surprising territory August 2024 offensive. Russian officials said there were no peace talks while the area was still partially occupied.

The last few weeks had seen the position of Ukraine there collapsed under a strong Russian attack, with Putin visiting the region last week and said that Kyiv’s troops there could choose to “surrender or die.”

Both parties also continued their cross -distance crossing attacks. On Monday, the Ukraine Air Force said that he had shot 90 out of 174 Russian drones was launched to the country last night, with 70 other drones missing on flights without causing damage. Seven regions were influenced by the attack, said the Air Force.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that on Monday, his troops shot down 72 Ukraine drones since Sunday night.

Some drones attacked Astrakhan region in southern Russia, about 500 miles from the nearest area controlled by Ukraine.

Igor Babushkin, a regional governor, said Ukraine “tried a large -scale drone attack on facilities located in the region, including fuel and energy complexes.”

Babushkin said that the falling drone debris triggered fire in one facility, even though it did not determine where. “The situation is under control,” the Governor wrote in Telegram. “One person was injured during the attack. The victim has now been taken to the hospital.”

Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the Cons Information Center operating as part of the Ukraine National Security and Defense Council, said in Telegram that “unknown drones crashed into the fuel and energy complex” in Astrakhan. “The intensity of unknown drone work increases,” he added.
