Rome – Pope Francis on Sunday made his first public appearance since being treated at a hospital in Rome more than five weeks ago.
Officials at Gemelli Hospital, where the 88 -year -old whale had undergone treatment after being diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia, said that before they were preparing the whale to appear in the window.
Sitting in a wheelchair, Francis appeared and waved his hand. In a weak voice, he said: “[T]o All … and I see a woman with yellow flowers … He is ‘Brava,’ Good. “He then waved again and seemed to make a sign of the cross.

The area near the hospital entrance has been filled with people on Sunday morning. People also flooded the field of St. Peter in the Vatican, where they can watch the salams of the whale through a big TV screen.

After Francis’s appearance at the hospital, he was expected to leave the facility by car and return to the Vatican.
The 88 -year -old whale has been in a stable condition for the past two weeks, according to the Vatican.
