London – The Russian Ministry of Defense said his troops shot down 337 Ukraine drones last night, in what appeared to be Kyiv’s largest cross -border air strike in Russia since Moscow launched a full scale invasion in 2022.

The ministry reports downing UAV more than 10 Russia. Moscow’s air defense shot all night while facing several waves of drone attacks, according to Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. The Ministry of Defense said it shot down 91 drones above the capital.

The attack on Moscow was “big,” Sobyanin wrote in Telegram. Governor Andrei Vorobyov said at least two people were killed and eight injured in the capital.

Some housing buildings, houses and high-rise businesses are damaged by drones or debris that fall, said Vorobyov.

The Russian Federal Air Agency said that flights were suspended at the four Moscow airports, with flights at the airport in the Yaroslavl and Nizhny Novgorod regions east of Moscow also based.

The Ukraine military did not immediately comment on the attack.

Drone series came when US and Ukraine negotiator prepared to open a ceasefire talks in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday after weeks of tension and public disagreement.

President Donald Trump’s administration encouraged Kyiv to make a concession in pursuing a peaceful agreement to end Russia’s three -year invasion of the country. The White House also wants Ukraine to sign the controversial mineral sharing agreement that Trump has framed as a way to replace tens of billions of US assistance sent to Ukraine since 2022.

Kyiv has repeatedly said he will not accept any agreement that does not include concrete security guarantees to prevent Russian aggression recurring in the future.

Trump has framed Ukraine and its president Volodymyr Zelenskyy as the main obstacle for peace, wrongly blaming Ukraine for starting the war, trying to damage the legitimacy of Zelenskyy and openly in line with Moscow’s fake narratives around the conflict. The US has tried to encourage Ukraine to the negotiation table by freezing military assistance and some intelligence sharing.

“The most important thing we have to leave here is a strong feeling that Ukraine is ready to do things – it is difficult,” State Secretary Marco Rubio – who will take part in Tuesday’s conversation – said on Monday.

Rubio said Russia “must also do difficult things”, although Trump and high officials have not yet said what concessions might be requested by Moscow. The US and Russian negotiator first met in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, last month.

Zelenskyy traveled to Saudi Arabia on Monday to meet with the crown prince and de facto ruler Mohammed bin Salman. Zelenskyy will not take part in Tuesday’s talks with American delegation.

Zelenskyy said he had a “detailed discussion” with Salman about “steps and conditions needed to end the war and secure reliable and eternal peace,” at a social media post after the two leaders met.

“I specifically emphasize the issue of liberation of prisoners and the return of our children, which can be a key step in building trust in diplomatic efforts. Most discussions are dedicated to the format of security guarantees,” Zelenskyy said.

Zelenskyy said the Ukraine delegation would “remain” in the country to “work with the US Team” on Tuesday. Zelenskyy said he hoped for “practical results,” from the As-Ukraine meeting.

“Ukraine’s position in this conversation will be fully constructive,” he added.

A source close to Zelenskyy confirmed to ABC News that Ukraine will propose a partial ceasefire in his conversation with a US ceasefire partly applies to long -distance air strikes and attacks at sea, the source said.

The time frame for a ceasefire is still unclear.

“We want to propose a partial ceasefire that can be monitored and then see how Russia responds to determine the next step,” the source added.

Rubio told reporters on Monday that he saw a number of promises in the Ukrainian partial ceasefire proposal.

“I don’t say that’s enough, but that’s the type of concession you need to see to end this conflict,” he said.

Rubio said that completing a mineral agreement with Ukraine was “an important topic, but it was not the main topic on the agenda.”

“This is of course an agreement that the President wants to do but does not have to happen tomorrow,” he said. “There are still further details to be completed.”

Meanwhile, the exchange of drones and night missiles will continue.

The Ukraine Air Force said its troops tracked one of the Iskander ballistic missiles and 126 drones shot to the country last night. Missiles and 79 drones were shot down, said the Air Force, with 35 UAVs missing on flights without effect.

Donetsk, Odesa, Kharkiv, Sumy and Kyiv were affected, the statement said.
