Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s wife, Salvador migrant deported wrong for El Salvador, was at the center of legal battle with the Trump government, had a temporary protection order against him in 2021 where he quoted slapped, beaten with an object, and was detained for his will, according to court documents obtained by ABC.

In a long statement in the petition for protection “from domestic violence,” Jennifer Vasquez Sura mentioned an incident on May 4, 2021, where he accused that Abrego Garcia “punched and scratched his eyes,” causing him to bleed.

On the same day, Vasquez Sura said that when he told Abrego Garcia that he needed to go to the shop, he “angry, began to scream again until he tore [her] shorts and shirts. “

“And I ran to the bathroom, he [ran] Behind me and grabbed my arm, “said Vasquez Sura.” I also have a sign on my left arm. “

“At this point I am afraid to be close to him,” added Vasquez Sura. “I have some photos/videos about how [violent] He can. “

Vasquez Sura received a temporary protection order against Abrego Garcia in May 2021, according to the state court record in Maryland. The order requires that Abrego Garcia has no contact with Vasquez Sura, and that he moves away from where they live with them, the note shows.

In a statement released to ABC News Wednesday through his lawyer, Vasquez Sura – who has been vocal in his support for Abrego Garcia during his detention at El Salvador – said, “After surviving domestic violence in previous relationships, I acted because of death after disagreeing with Kilmar by looking for protective orders in the released case.”

“We can deal with this situation personally as a family, including by going to counseling,” said Vasquez Sura. “Kilmar has always been a loving partner and father, and I will continue to support him and demand justice for him.”

Abrego Garcia, who was suspected of Trump’s administration, was a member of the MS-13 criminal gang, entered his second month in a Mega El Salvador prison after he was deported there on March 15, despite the 2019 court orders that prohibited deportation to his home country for fear of persecution.

He has lived in Maryland with Vasquez Sura, their 5 -year -old child, and two stepchildren. Vasquez Sura denied that he was affiliated with MS-13.

In the 2021 document obtained by ABC News, Vasquez Sura recorded two past incidents, accusing that in 2020, Abrego Garcia hit him with his work shoes and that in August 2020, he hit his eyes.

The protection order was dismissed a month after being issued, on June 17, 2021, after Vasquez Sura failed to appear in court, according to the dismissal order signed by a judge.

ABC News also obtained documents submitted to the Maryland Court in August 2018 by a man who claimed to be the father of two children of Vasquez Sura. In a five-page motion for an emergency trial, he said he was afraid of the lives of children, in part, “because he was dating a gang member and tried to hurt himself,” state records.

The man did not enter the individual name he thought was a gang member. It is unknown whether he refers to Abrego Garcia.

The initials of the names of their children, registered in complaints of prisoners, are in accordance with the names listed by Vasquez Sura for their children in the declaration submitted in the case of Abrego Garcia.

He seems to have left several parts of the unfinished complaint, including the term custody of what he asked for. However, in the submission he said he would allow Vasquez Sura to visit children on condition that “We both agreed at the time and date.”

According to a court document dated January 18, 2019, this case was dismissed because Vasquez Sura was not served.

Lawyer Vasquez Sura did not respond to requests to comment on documents involving his ex.

On Tuesday, a federal judge ordered government officials to testify under oaths because, he said, they “did nothing to assist in the liberation of Abrego Garcia from detention and returned to the United States,” even though the Supreme Court directed Trump’s administration to “facilitate” the liberation of Garcia hard from detention in El Salvador.

The Department of Domestic Security, in a Social Media Post Wednesday, shared a 2021 court record from the case of order for the protection of Abrego Garcia and said in the post that he was “not the honorable ‘Maryland’ man who had described it as.”
