A federal judge in Boston has blocked Trump’s government from an effort to dismantle the Ministry of Education.

The As Myong Joun District Judge issued a preliminary order on Thursday which prohibited Trump’s administration from firing half of the Department of Education.

Order from Judge Joun – appointed by Biden – also banned the Department of Education Transfer Federal Student Loan Management to Small Business Administration.

A group that included several state attorney officials, schools, and non -profit organizations challenged Trump’s efforts to reduce the size of the Department of Education last month, on the grounds that the President could not unilaterally close the Federal Department made by the Congress.

Lawyers for the Trump government argue that efforts to reduce the Ministry of Education will make it more efficient, and separate from Trump’s oath to abolish the department.

Joun Joun was not sure.

“The abundant record revealed that the true intention of the defendant was to effectively dismantle the department without an appropriate law,” he wrote.
