Deir Al Balah, Gaza – Former ABC News journalist Husam al-Titi was killed in Israeli air strikes in Gaza on Monday night local time, the night of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas ended, according to the Al-Titi family.

Al-Titi was a voice engineer for ABC News for 20 years until 2014, when he left the company and became a teacher. He lived in Gaza City with his wife, daughter and three sons, but she was in Deir Al Balah in a displacement camp when she was killed.
Al-Titi’s wife, daughter and three of her sons were taken to the hospital after air strikes. Three of his sons were still being treated at the hospital and one was seriously injured, the Al-Titi family told ABC News.
