Pope Francis, who led the Roman Catholic Church for 12 years, died on Monday morning at the age of 88 years.
Francis’s life and time as a Pope, who is famous for his humility and outreach efforts to people with different backgrounds and religions, will be remembered during the funeral service that took place on Saturday, said the Vatican.

Where and when is the funeral of Pope Francis?
The funeral of Pope Francis will take place on Saturday, April 26, at 10 am local time (4 East morning) and will be held at Santo Petrus Field or Basilica, depending on the weather, in the Vatican city.

Who will attend the funeral of Pope Francis?
On Thursday, 130 foreign delegations have confirmed that they attended the funeral of Pope Francis on Saturday morning, said the Vatican press office.
That number includes “Kira -Kira” 50 heads of state and 10 rulers in power.
President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prince William were among those who were expected to attend. Former President Joe Biden, the second Catholic president ever, and former First Lady Jill Biden will also be present.
The funeral, known as Missa Poenitentialis, was also attended by Cardals, Clergy, representatives of world organizations and diplomats, along with a large crowd of loyal people.

Where will Pope Francis be buried?
After the funeral mass on Saturday, Francis will be buried outside the Vatican in St. Mary Major, a Basilica in Rome. Francis will be the first Pope in more than five centuries buried there.
