A man in Florida has been arrested for shooting his neighbor’s cows five times after that wandered to his property, said the police.
The incident occurred in North Fort Myers in Florida on May 13 when members of the Sheriff Lee County agricultural unit responded to calls from a Sharon Drive farm regarding the report of cruelty to animals, according to a statement from the Sheriff Office of Lee Regency.
“The deputies were told that a victim found a 2 -year -old calf in a neighbor’s property with five gunshot wounds to the guts, chest and back legs,” said the police. “Because of the calf injury, a veterinarian determines the calf that needs to be -Eutanasia.”
The cow owner said the neighbor, 54 years old hung Trinh, had been “angry in the past about cattle jumping fences and threatened to shoot animals,” according to the authorities.

The detective from the first police station finally got a search warrant and could find a caliber rifle .22 which was allegedly used in the shooting at the warehouse in the Trinh property.
“There will be accountability because it eliminates your frustration in innocent animals, in this case some serious criminal acts and prison time,” said Sheriff Carmine Marceno. “We know how much this animal means to our agricultural community, and we will not tolerate this action. I am proud of my agricultural unit for direct responses and their ability to make arrests in this case.”
Trinh was charged with cruelty to animals and large theft of commercial livestock.
Investigations of the incident are currently underway.
