The crowd of federal workers at this time and recently was fired gathered at a job in Maryland on Saturday to find new career opportunities because Trump’s administration continued to clean up federal workers.

Many are filled with despair and frustration of cutting, pioneered by the Department of Efficiency of the Government of Elon Musk.

Daniel Leckie is a historical preservation specialist for public service administration which was fired in February. He attended the exhibition work with his wife and 6 -month -old baby.

“We are now very scared and struggle to find new jobs to keep the roof over our heads and feed your child,” he told ABC News.

Leckie said he was fired because he became an experimental employee and only one day from fully satisfying his trial period.

Leckie and his wife, Jennifer Hopkins, just bought a new house in Maryland, making their first mortgage payment just a few weeks ago. He also tried to complete the public service loan forgiveness program.

“I have about two or three months left before I will fulfill the provisions of my student loan. This is a $ 80,000 proposition for our family. This is between this job, the forgiveness of the student loans that we rely on and the work we take includes the potential for promotion during my full, successful in my assignment, like me,” he said.

“That’s what we base many of our finances, including deciding to start family and take a mortgage and become a homeowner here in the DC area,” Leckie added.

“Because after we sit here and issue sacrifice, like we are not even important, we don’t count,” he said.

Dixon works in logistics for the US Army Engineer Corps, but he and his wife, who also work for Pentagon, strengthen their work to be cut every day when the Department of Defense is preparing to make a sweep layoff.

Dixon said that he and his wife received an email from the Personnel Management Office who asked them to register for what they had achieved last week, but they refrained from responding to the guidance of their supervisors.

However, he has a message for Musk and Trump.

“Stop. You hurt the family. You hurt people,” he said. “Everyone depends on the salary to care for their families and build to retire them and take care of young people. You have nothing but hurting, hurting all of their nations and families. That’s all you do.”
