Tsar Border of the White House Trump Tom Homan stands near the government’s position upon the US from Kilmer Abrego Garcia, a Salvador citizen who according to the Department of Justice is wrongly deported to prison in his home country, and releases responsibility for the status of migrant in an interview with ABC News.
Homan spoke with the “This Week” Jonathan Karl in an interview that will air this Sunday about this case and repeats Trump’s administrative accusations that Abrego Garcia is a MS-13 member and the threat of violence for the public.
“We remove the threat of public safety, national security threats, cruel gang members from the United States,” he said.
Lawyers and family members Abrego Garcia have denied that he was a member of the MS-13, and the gang accusation was debated in court.

However, a lot of evidence has been quoted by President Donald Trump and his allies, such as the clothes they said symbolizing the membership of the gang, has not been raised in court since the current government began to submit the development of this case.
The Supreme Court unanimously ordered the administration to “facilitate” the return of Abrego Garcia to the US for trial. On Friday, administration has not taken active steps to do so.

When asked by Karl about the order, Homan claimed that Trump’s government did not have the right or the ability to bring Abrego Garcia back to the US and argued that Abrego Garcia was under the authority of the El Salvador government.
“I understand that ‘facilitating,’ but he is also in detention – he is a citizen and citizen of the country of El Salvador. El Salvador certainly has to work together in that matter,” said Homan.
“But again, I came out of the circle about it. I am not a lawyer. I did not submit this case. We will do whatever we think we must do, but I think and I support that fact [that] I think we do the right thing here, “he said.
Homan also joined Trump and other Republicans in their criticism of Senator Chris Van Hollen, D-MD., Who traveled to El Salvador this week and met with Abrego Garcia.
“You know, what bother me more than that is a US senator who travels to El Salvador with taxpayer tax money to meet with members of the MS-13 gang, [a] The threat of public safety, terrorists, “said Homan, without providing evidence that Van Hollen uses taxpayers for travel.
When ABC News contacted Van Hollen’s office to comment on how the trip was funded, his office answered, “Senator traveled in its official capacity with the approval of Bipartisan to follow up on the case of constituents and supervise the US foreign assistance program. He did indeed fly commercially.”
Abrego Garcia was never convicted of crime in the US, and his wife, Jennifer Vasquez, told ABC News on Wednesday that her husband “was never punished for anything.”

Homan accused the senator of not taking the time to meet with the victims of the MS-13 gang members in his state and did not act under the Biden government to overcome the border problem.
“What my concern is that Van Hollen has never gone to the border for the past four years under Joe Biden. … What surprised me was that he remained silent in the parody that occurred on the southern border. Many people died, thousands of people died,” he said.
After returning to the US, Van Hollen told reporters, his journey was more than the case of Abrego Garcia.
“This case is not only about one person, as important as that,” said Van Hollen. “This is about protecting the fundamental freedom and fundamental principles in the constitution for the legal process that protects all people who live in America.”
