One person was killed and at least five people were injured in an explosion outside the fertility clinic at Palm Springs, California, on Saturday morning, according to the source of law enforcement and facilities.
Investigators believe that the person who died was a suspect in the explosion, according to a source of law enforcement.
Active search is ongoing to determine whether there are devices planted in the area.
“The explosion seems to be a deliberate act of violence and the explosion extends to blocks with several damaged buildings, some very,” Police Chief Palm Springs Andy Mills said in a statement.

Attorney General Pam Bondi released a statement about X which stated that he had been given a briefing about the situation.
“Federal agents in the field are now responding to local law enforcement. We work to learn more,” he said, added, “Violence against fertility clinics cannot be forgiven.”

The Palm Springs American reproductive center said a car exploded outside its facilities, but its staff, eggs, embryos, and reproductive materials were not injured.
“This morning, an unexpected and tragic incident occurred outside our Palm Springs facility when a vehicle exploded in a parking lot near our building. We were heartbroken to know that this event claimed life and caused the deepest injury, and condolences we went to individuals and families affected,” Arc said in a statement.
